Imaging for Postgraduate Orthopaedic Exams
Description
The Orthopaedic Academy webinar, hosted by Nikki Evans, offers an insightful evening of discussion and education in orthopedic imaging tailored for FRCS exam preparation. The webinar features speaker Mr. Joe Gouda, alongside a panel of esteemed faculty including Mr. Fira Arnaout, Mr. Shwan Henari, Mr. David Hughes, Mr. Justin Leong, and Mr. Ashcroft.
The evening's agenda includes a presentation by Mr. Gouda that focuses on key elements of orthopedic imaging relevant to the examination. Following this, participants engage in an anonymous MCQ poll designed to test their knowledge, with results reviewed and discussed in real-time.
Audience interaction is encouraged throughout the session, with attendees prompted to submit questions via chat for expert clarification later in the program. In addition to the main presentation, a practical "hot seat" session allows selected candidates to experience a mock viva, facilitating their preparation in a supportive environment.
As part of the preparation, information regarding upcoming courses related to orthopedic training is shared, including popular mock exam offerings available on the Orthopaedic Academy website and social media platforms. The session concludes with Mr. Gouda leading discussions on fundamental imaging principles, including the mechanics and benefits of various imaging modalities, and the importance of understanding each in a clinical context.
The webinar is structured to provide value through expert-led discussions, interactive activities, and peer engagement, all aimed at enhancing participants' confidence and knowledge ahead of their orthopedic examinations.
